October GlamBox Unboxing & #SharingisCaring
You should’ve witnessed the look on my face when I saw the delivery man deliver 2 Glamboxes. This month’s Glambox took me by surprise!
I had actually come across Glambox’s sponsored ads on instagram this past month, but I guess I never really read through them well enough to understand what was going on. For the month of October, Glambox kindly hosted a #SharingisCaring concept, whereby every one got an extra box that they can share with anyone. Isn’t that awesome!
This month’s box featured Inglot, Bottega Verde, and Rituals. There are 2 brands I’ve never heard of before, which is always good because this means I get to explore new beauty products and possibly find a new skincare / body care must haves.
Bottega Verde won my heart this time! The packaging and the actual product put me somewhere up in cloud 9 of skincare heaven! Just by looking at their packaging you will immediately sense the Italian vibe going on! The first thing that caught my attention was the Pepe Rosa hand cream (75ml). It comes in a beautiful packaging that makes me want to apply it every 5 minutes just so that I can look at it over and over again! It has a mesmerizing floral scent with a touch of vanilla and to my surprise, it doesn’t leave an oily residue like the majority of hand creams do. It quickly absorbs in to skin, leaving it soft, supple and smells delicious! Hats off to Glambox for continuously introducing us to awesome hand creams ever now and then!
The next collection of items from Bottega Verde was from their Red Grape line. Its aims to moisturize while acts as an antioxidant. The contents include:
- Body cream (10ml)
- Face cream (5ml) and
- Serum (1ml ) which came in a sachet.
The next item that caught my attention had to be the Shower Mousse by Rituals. At first I thought it was a shaving foam of sorts. I haven’t seen any shower product come in that form before. But I totally Love it! I’m not sure of the quantity that the full sized version comes in, but the 50ml version we got was just perfect for me to toss in to my gym bag! The one I received was Happy Buddha – Sweet Orange & Cedar. To my pleasure, the scent is not strong and overpowering, but quite refreshing and relaxing. Paired with a hot shower, this shower mousse will definitely give you a relaxed day at the spa kinda feel, that we all love! I need to get more of this because I totally see myself purchasing this over and over again
Finally we have 2 Inglot products – a matt lipstick and the Inglot pro-blending sponge. My lipstick came in the shade 417, which based on the bullet looks like a gorgeous color. As I swatched it at the back of my hand the formula seemed acceptable for a matte lipstick, but sadly, I didn’t like the way it applied on my lips. The color made me pale, and the formula is slightly on the dry side. Unfortunately, I’m not to fond of the lipstick despite it’s pretty packaging and its an Inglot product. I love Inglot, but this lipstick is just not for me.
The pro-blending sponge looks very similar to the original beauty blenders that you can easily find in Sephora. However, I noticed is that the Inglot sponge is not as soft as the Beauty Blenders. I’ve yet to test the two sponges and see results to really compare the two and give a detailed opinion on the matter.. So let me know in the comment section below if you’re interested in a “beauty blender vs Inglot pro-blending sponge review”.
As for the extra #sharingiscaring box, the contents were equally great. I haven’t opened any of the products up as I am planning on giving them away to someone. However, I did open up the box to share the contents with you all.
There was a wide variety of products in this box. Skincare, body care, perfume and even makeup! This box came with 7 products, 3 of which are full-size. The contents included:
- Edge Hand tied Lashes (in Sugar Snap)
- Catrice Cosmetics Glam & Doll Volume Mascara
- Arcancil Paris Matte Lipstick in 100 Rouge Mat
- Enchanteur Body Lotion in Rose Oud (30ml)
- L’or De Marina, Eau de Parfum Vaporisateur Spray (1ml)
- Orlane Paris Absolute Skin Recovery Care Eye Contour (3ml)
- Orlane Paris Elixir Royal (5ml)
Both boxes came with amazing vouchers from a variety of places including La Vie en Rose, Kaya Skincare Clinic, Nail Session at Rituals and many more 😀
9.5/10 for this month’s Glambox!
