THE BODY SHOP – DROPS OF YOUTH Concentrate & Emulsion [Review]
I may be last to try out The Body Shop Skincare range, but I finally got my hands on a few over the summer. The Body Shop sales person asked for my main skin concerns and recommended I go for the Drops of Youth line. Interested in finding out more about this range? Keep on reading 😆
The Body Shop: Drops of Youth – Youth Concentrate
I’ve been testing out the Drops of Youth – Youth concentrate for about a month now, and I’m so amazed by its results that I had to share it with you all before the 6 weeks testing phase got over. As with any skincare product, I religiously applied it twice daily while massaging my face with the Shiffa Jade facial massage roller.
To my surprise, results were visible within the first week. My skin’s condition changed drastically and it was noticeable to everyone.
It comes in a really cute and durable green glass bottle with a glass pipette. The pipette gives you just the right amount of the serum to apply all over the face and neck. On some days, my skin feels extra dry so I like to apply 2 pumps of the serum before I continue with the rest of my routine.
Consistency & Scent :
The youth concentrate is a quick absorbing, lightweight and non-sticky serum, that quickly does its job by providing your skin with an instant boost of moisture.
The Youth Concentrate has a rather refreshing scent. It instantly stimulates my brain to relax and clear my mind.
My skin has never been this smooth and bump-free. I’ve always had those tiny bumps on my forehead that never seemed to go away no matter what I used. (At around the same time, I started using the Body Shop range, I switched from a Clarisonic to a Foreo. This could have also played a major role in clearing out my skin)
My pores are visibly smaller and no longer peak through the foundations or BB creams. In fact, you can barely see them even when I’m sporting my bare skin YAY!
I’ve also noticed that the results are even better if I use it along with the Shiffa Jade facial massage roller (reviewed). The jade roller enables my skin to a better job in absorbing the youth concentrate, and the results are almost instantaneous. 2 weeks into using this combo and my skin is looking more radiant healthy looking than ever.

The Body Shop: Drops of Youth – Youth Fresh Emulsion
I was recently told by a skin care professional that it’s always best to get a serum and moisturiser from the same skincare line. This will allow the ingredients to work better and deliver the best results. So I went ahead and got the Drops of Youth – Youth Fresh Emulsion.
The Youth Fresh Emulsion comes in a similar packaging to its sibling the Youth Concentrate. Instead of a pipette, The Youth Fresh Emulsion comes with a pump that can be locked when turned to the right. The bottle contains 50 ml of the youth fresh emulsion.
Consistency & Scent:
The Youth Fresh Emulsion has a lightweight, quick absorbing and non-sticky formula. 1-2 pumps of the emulsion are usually enough to give your face and neck the moisture boost it needs along with protection from harmful UVA and UVB rays. The only thing to watch out for is that this emulsion will definitely leave behind an oily residue ( I have combination skin with an oily Tzone. After applying the emulsion, my skin will appear oily all over )
The Youth Fresh Emulsion has a very refreshing and energizing scent to it. It almost feels like you are taking a stroll in a garden house.
So I’ve been using the Youth Fresh Emulsion along with the Youth Concentrate for about a month now and I absolutely love the results. However, I won’t be re-purchasing the Youth Fresh Emulsion in the near future. I am not a fan of greasy after look it gives. The extra dose of oil on my skin dulls down my complexion and makes my skin appear more tired than it really is.

The Youth Fresh Emulsion is 100% vegan and has SPF protection from harmful UVA and UVB rays.
